About Becca
I grew up in southeast Minnesota for most of my childhood. Spent a couple years in college the Twin Cities area, and got on to the business of living. I spent about 15 years in retail management and then several years in an administrative role with a pizza chain franchise owner after moving to Florida in 2009.
Burnt out from the corporate life, I took a break to decide what would be next. I spent time volunteering with my church, working with the foster care system, and doing the bookkeeping for a local charity that supported local families in need. From there, I was able to realize my long-time dream of opening my bakery, Becca's Sweet Tooth.
Then, early in 2024, I came to realize that I was ready to move back to my roots in Minnesota. My parents were aging, I had family experience major health issues, and I felt I was just too far away. It was an incredibly difficult decision, but it was time. I sold the majority of my business equipment, turned my keys over to a new owner, and made the trek to return to Minnesota.
It took several months to get everything in place to reopen here in Rochester, but it was worth the wait to be able to serve my local community once again! With my new business model without the physical storefront, I found that I still had space in my life to take on another challenge. I have always done the books for my own business, and it's one of the thing I actually enjoy the most.
So here I am, ready to help other small businesses get/stay organized, lighten the workload, and help find ways for them to be more successful. Because when small businesses thrive, so does the community.
